I enjoyed my stay, especially the comfortable beds and great heating system during chilly nights, though the narrow stairs were a bit tricky with bags.

Comfortable beds were a positive highlight of my stay.
I faced significant issues during my stay. The room was not only dirty, with dust and unclear stains on the surfaces, but there was also a persistent damp smell which was quite uncomfortable. Despite requesting a change of room, the alternative option was still unsatisfactory, compounded by the unhelpful attitude of the staff regarding our concerns, which left me feeling quite frustrated throughout my trip.

The breakfast was a highlight, with mouthwatering croissants that made every morning delicious. The staff were accommodating, ensuring my needs were met throughout my stay. The comfortable beds also added a touch of coziness to the experience.
Unfortunately, I was given a room that reeked and had questionable cleanliness, only to receive a basement alternative filled with mold, cockroaches, and noise. Quite the adventure! But despite this, the location kept my spirits up during my escapade.

Hotel Albergo offered a very convenient location just a 5-minute walk from Gare du Nord. Easily accessible via metro, it made navigating Brussels a breeze. The triple room was spacious and comfortably fit my wife, teenage daughter, and me. Cleanliness was commendable, and the bathroom was impressive for a family setup. Mustafa at the front desk was particularly helpful and friendly, offering great tips on local attractions. a couple of aspects could use improvement. The lack of hooks for towels and coats in the room was inconvenient. Despite there being a non-smoking policy, I picked up a faint odor of cigarette smoke that lingered in the room. while the cleaning staff did a good job, I noticed some areas could benefit from a deeper clean, especially behind the furniture. a solid choice for the price but with minor adjustments needed for a better experience.

The triple room was spacious and clean, comfortably fitting my family. It's just a short 5-minute walk from the Gare du Nord, making it easy to navigate the city and catch our train without a hitch.
The area is rough around the edges, bordering on a less desirable neighborhood, which can be unsettling. The bathroom had some issues, with a persistent damp smell that needed a closer look. We also noticed the absence of hooks for towels, which would have been a simple yet useful addition. Lastly, the WiFi connection was spotty at times, causing frustration when trying to look up attractions.

the staff were super friendly and the 24 hours reception made it feel secure. really close to the north station, which is cool. i liked that you could walk to the city center in about 15 minutes. breakfast was nice but i didn’t take it. the beds were really comfy, which is great for the price.
the area around the hotel felt kinda sketchy with homeless people and some dirtiness. also, the stairs were really narrow and there's no lift, so it was a bit hard with bags.

good price but room cleanliness needs improvement
The twin room I stayed in was priced well, making it a budget-friendly option for my stay. I appreciated the staff's friendly demeanor, which made me feel welcomed upon arrival. The location was ideal, allowing easy access to nearby attractions. The breakfast offering of fresh croissants was delightful, providing a great start to my mornings.
